EVERY VOTE COUNTS!

WHO MAY REGISTER TO VOTE?  

Anyone who is

  1. A citizen of the United States and a resident of California.
  2. 17 years of age, but will be 18 at the time of an election.
  3. Is not in prison or on parole or probation for a felony conviction.
  4. Has not been judged by a Court to be mentally incompetent.

WHO SHOULD COMPLETE A VOTER REGISTRATION CARD?  

Anyone who meets the description above, and

  1. Resides in Fresno, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Mono, San Joaquin, San Luis Obispo, Stanislaus, Tulare or Tuolumne counties.
  2. Has changed his or her place of residence since previously registering.
  3. Wishes to change his or her political party.
  4. Has changed his or her name since registering.

WHERE DO I OBTAIN A VOTER REGISTRATION CARD? 

CFRW Central Division will be happy to furnish you with a Voter Registration Card. You may obtain one at fire stations, county offices, post offices, the city clerk's office, the Registrar of Voters, and the Secretary of State.

WHEN DO I HAVE TO SUBMIT MY VOTER REGISTRATION CARD?

A VOTER REGISTRATION CARD MUST BE COMPLETED AND MAILED TO THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS NO LATER THAN 15 DAYS BEFORE CLOSE OF REGISTRATION IN ORDER TO VOTE IN A CURRENT ELECTION.

DO I HAVE TO SELECT A POLITICAL PARTY WHEN REGISTERING? 

No, BUT you will not be able to vote in a Primary Election for a candidate for President or for a candidate for any Federal office without selecting a political party. You can, however, vote in local elections and in the General Election..
